Things to do in Biograd

Biograd na Moru is a royal Croatian city first mentioned in the mid-tenth century, while in the 11 century was the seat of Croatian kings and bishops. The largest city flourished as the capital of the medieval Croatian rulers, and in 1102 in Biograd na Moru was crowned the Croatian-Hungarian king Koloman. Church of St Rocco

Church of St Rocco is votive Church from the 16th century, which was built in honor of St Rocco, protector of patients of the plague. This church is open during the summer for sightseeing; just on a day of St Rocco is performed liturgy.

Church of St Anastasia

Church of St Anastasia is the parish church. On the remains of the Biograd’s Cathedral in which is crowned king Koloman.  The Church of St Anastasia was built in the 18th century. The interior is decorated with the Baroque altar from the 17th century.

The Franciscan Monastery

The Franciscan Monastery was founded in the 14th century, and it contains valuable Baroque saintly images and a rich library.

The Church of St Anthony

The Church of St Anthony dating back to the 13th century, it was built in the early Romanesque style. It hosts a variety of art exhibitions.

Monastery of St John Evangelist

Monastery of St John Evangelist was a Benedictine monastery, which is around 1060 raised the Croatian King Petar Kresimir IV.
