Sunj on the Island Lopud
Sunj Beach is located on a small romantic Island Lopud located between the islands of Kolocep and Sipan near Dubrovnik. The beautiful sandy beach Sunj is located on the south side of Lopud and it’s almost a kilometer long. I’ve been on the Island Lopud for my honeymoon before xy? years (smile). Many describe beach Sunj as shallow and suitable for families with small children, I must say I didn’t seem like that when I was there. It is shallow and because of the fine sand as in the Sahara, I lost two sunscreens (swallowed by the sand) in one day. Otherwise, my stay on the Island Lopud was very colorful and Island Lopud is definitely a worthy place for the honeymoon. What I wanted to say is that on this beach at that time I did not see a single family, the guests were all foreigners (UK, Germany mainly), the only one who spoke Croatian were the inhabitants of the island and the staff of hotels and restaurants. This is a very small island, no cars on it and from the hotel to the beach Sunj you need to walk for about 20 minutes. Restaurant on the beach offers decent food and decent prices, as opposed to the quality of service and price in the center of the island. The beach is beautiful, really, but be prepare to share the beach with nudists on the left side and the other on the right side of the beach.
