The city of Varazdin had historically been known as one of the centers of the cultural life of Croatia. Song and dance for this city are not strange at all but are an integral part of its traditions and its way of life.

However, we can mention the 18th century as one of the turning points of the city’s cultural life. In that period the city was intensively changing and was influenced by all the luxuries baroque, and with its fascinated aristocratic elite becoming a center for wild balls and a luxurious life of the aristocracy.

To honor baroque and its luxuries, which is greatly marked the city and earned them the name “Little Vienna”, today they are happy to remember the songs of that period.
