Driving pleasure you can feel and on Velebit. Baska Ostarija is an ideal paths, the first part is asphalt, towards the Ravni Dabar, and from here you can continue the “white road” into the interior of the Velebit. When selecting a track on Velebit, it is required to inform about conditions of “white roads” and take maps because in this field because of the activities of the Croatian Forests and opening new paths you can easily turn in the wrong direction.
In Dalmatia you can ride downhill on a few tracks, and for the cross country Dalmatian mountains provide the ideal combination. If you are near the center, and do not mind the high summer temperature you will pass the so-called firefighting road that runs along the south side of Kozjak from Rupotina to the pass of Malacka and whole section enjoy in the view of Split and Kastela channel with all 7 Kastela.
One of the favorite tracks, the Split cycling club Timun, it is around Poljicka mountain, the trail starts from the center of Tugara, the place close to Split around ten kilometers, leads to the pass at the Church of Our Lady of Snow, from where you can run down for a swim at the Omis beach or continue white road back to Split to Podstrana.
