Croatia is well known as one of the best tourist destinations in Europe. But, how does it attract the attention of millennials? It’s actually very simple to answer.
Croatia has it all, and I mean all of it. Rich history, good people, amazing food, and many, many other things to offer.
I’m here to show you why you should spend your summer holidays in Croatia.
Young adults are only looking for a good time in a beautiful place with good company. I can give you two of these things. You pick your group of friends and leave me to show you all the good places and what they offer. Good parties, thrilling sport activities, spectacular beaches.
Let me show you why Croatia would be your dream destination. Ready? Set. GO!
There are a lot of spots and cities with wild nightlife, but I will tell you some of the best party spots in Croatia.
Every young adult in Croatia knows about Zrce beach and crazy parties it holds every summer. This island is a must if you’re looking for a good time and good music.
But be warned, this means all day long parties with organized festivals where you can find famous performers of electronic music and even some rappers that are worldwide famous. If you want to experience first class events, Novalja is a place for you.
You must have heard of Ultra Europe that happens every year in Split. That three days in July are only a start for partying in Split. Not only that clubs like Kocka, Metropolis and Master’s are always full, but Croatians are also amazing party company. Live music is easy to come by if you’re in a mood for something slow.
And, at the end, I left Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Zagreb parties are not only hot in the time of tourist season. These diverse parties go all year round and are known as best parties. Concerts, DJ performances, Rock&Roll are the only small examples of what you can find in Zagreb.
These are only a small portion of what really happens. You can find every type of party in Croatia. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for slow or lively music. If you want laidback or crazy night. In whatever city you find yourself in you won’t regret it.
Let’s say that you’ve partied all night and now you want to do something different. I recommend you to do something memorable. Like some cool sports and activities. Croatia offers different ways of exploring the beauties of the country.
Omis, for example, gives you an opportunity for rafting and exploring Cetina. Trust me it is a spectacular experience, and if you are a zip-line lover you can also find it here.
Zadar is a spot where you can do many activities. If you’re in love with animals you may find yourself on ranches with horses. Many people from Zadar love horseback riding, so you can put it in your calendar and spend a few hours riding these beautiful animals. Although not everyone loves animals so I have another thing for you. Only car ride away ( around 40 km ) you will find National Park Paklenica which is a hot spot for mountain climbing center, one of the best in Europe.
Let’s get back to the sea, especially in the summertime. Warm weather is a constant in Dalmatia in the summertime, perfect water temperatures. That means a lot of swimming and sunbathing, but even that gets boring sometimes. It turns into a routine, so let’s change it a bit. In every coastal city you can find diving clubs and excursions, so use that to explore Adriatic sea better. Meet the fishes and make new friends within those clubs.
If you’re looking for something more thrilling, something that’ll give you the adrenaline rush. I offer you windsurfing. Self-explanatory, you can find it in Premanture, place near Pula, in Krk where it’s among top places for windsurfing in Croatia.
Jet skis are also a very good way of spending time while in Dalmatia.
Staying in continental parts of Croatia is not a disadvantage, just because there is no sea it doesn’t mean you’re going to be bored. Cycling is always a better way to explore new surroundings and you’re not damaging the environment.
Then again if you are not really a fan of sports but you want to do something fun, I’m presenting you with the idea of visiting amusement parks. You can find them in almost all bigger coastal cities. Big aqua parks are mood lifting concepts.
While in Croatia, you may find classical European food like burgers, pasta and such. But Croatians actually are very diverse eaters. If you eat in a restaurant please do try traditional food, you won’t be sorry. I promise you! Fish in Dalmatia are a must, along with vegetables and seafood. Literally the best things ever.
So along with the historical value of Croatia, and it’s beautiful untouched nature, many UNESCO protected cities you can enjoy Croatia in a different way. I hope millennials can find themselves in Croatia and enjoy it to the fullest.
Good luck partying. Remember! Stay hydrated and take care of yourselfs. Till next time !
